Our training courses provide a way to learn more about the Cityworks application you own and use. Courses are conducted by Azteca staff members who are eager to help you increase your knowledge and understanding of the software. In these sessions you will operate the software at your own desktop computer and see and participate in examples of Cityworks in action.
Pre-Conference training courses will be held on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 in Sandy, Utah, at the Courtyard Marriott and the Hampton Inn. See listing of courses below for individual course locations. Training courses last all day from 8:00am 4:30pm. Meals are not provided during pre-conference training. Classes fill quickly and are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call hotels directly to make room reservations for your stay during pre-conference training.

Intro to Cityworks ArcGIS Part I & II This course focuses on the functionality of Cityworks from an end-user's perspective. Topics include basic functionality within ArcMap; Cityworks toolbars; creation of service requests, work orders, and inspections/tests; event layers; searches; and reporting using the Cityworks Report Engine.
Cityworks Administration: This course covers the complete implementation of Cityworks including relational database creation and configuration, ODBC setup, client software installation, designer configuration, work management workflow (service requests, work orders, inspections), Cityworks Anywhere, and Cityworks Report Engine. Attendees should know how to operate Windows-based software and it is strongly recommended that they have a good operating knowledge of ESRI's ArcGIS software.
Cityworks Permitting Administration: This course covers the initial configuration of Cityworks Permitting including the setup of administrative tables, data conversion of import/export routines found within the application, and software Gap/Fit analysis; GIS integration including configuring ESRI’s ArcGIS 9.2 software to be accessible and usable with the Permitting application to view and query GIS data; and end-user functionality including becoming familiar with the software from an end-users point-of-view, general process workflow, specific scenarios, and creating a building permit from start to finish. The course will also include plenty of hands on practice with the software.
